Happy International Geocaching Day!
This event is being held at the Glasco Mini Park near the Hudson River which features a boat launch, fishing, playground, cooking area, and pavillion. Feel free to make use of these while attending. The event will begin officially at 11:00am with lunch under the pavillion. Please bring something to eat for yourself and if you would like something to share, but it is not required. It is also encouraged to share stories, travel bugs (earn the race souvenir for others or yourself), and to mingle with other geocachers. The event will officially conclude at 1:00pm, but anyone who would like to stay is welcome to as long as they leave by the time the park closes. This is a rain or shine event because of the pavillion and will only be cancelled in the case of severe weather. It is preferred for those interested to create a will attend log to help give an idea of how many people are coming.
To help celebrate, I will be offering a few free trackables of people's choice (and some kid friendly swag just in case) on a first come first serve basis at the table we will be sitting at. They cannot be entered into the race sadly, but trackables can be a lot of fun either way. : )
