I made contact with the manager of the Inanda Dam Resort, Gerald Bruton, when I organised the CITO at Shongweni dam last August.
On Sunday I received an email from him, explaining how the water level at Inana dam has dropped so much due to the drought, that trash has been exposed along the shores of the dam. He felt that this would be a perfect opportunity for us to do a good deed again and as such is granting us free admission to the resort for the day.
So on Tuesday, Dawn I went out to meet him and have a look around. Whilst driving around, he asked what geocaching was all about and what it had to do with cleaning up pollution. We explained it all to him and he asked if there were any in the resort. So we showed him how it is done and he was very keen to see a cache. After taking him to the first one, he was even more keen to find the second one, and he actually did find it before us.
During the tour he also explained some of the other activities he is planning for the area and invited us to get involved in one way or another. This has brought about some ideas which we will reveal in the near future.
