Geocache Description:

Take a stroll through Rubislaw and Queens Terrace Gardens in the West End of Aberdeen.  I was unable to place the cache within the grounds of the park due to other caches within close proximety to this area.

I have called this cache Piggy Bank as I think this would be a good opportunity to display how far everybody has travelled through a unique coin collection. I have got the ball rolling by putting the following into the container: Euros, American Dollars, Norwegian Krone, Mexican Pesos, South African Rand and Qatari Riyals. Please feel free to trade or add to the collection, the more obscure the better.

Rubislaw and Queens Terrace Gardens is a pleasant strip of green lawn with mature trees, which stretches westwards from the city centre. The gardens are enhanced with an abundance of flower beds.

These gardens were originally private gardens belonging to the homes along Rubislaw and Queens Terrace. The council took over the land and formed the park when many of the elegant houses were converted into office blocks.

The unusual square pool and fountain was built to celebrate Aberdeen's success in Britain in Bloom 1969, 1970 and 1971 competitions.
