An old abandoned farm just where the hills and mountains meet the glacial valley, Smiðjunes is surrounded by river and water streams, canyons, meadows, ponds, Icelandic birch (Betula pubescens) hmmm "forrests" and beautiful rocks that come in many "extraterrestrial" forms and colors. It's probably the greenest spot you're going to find in this huge area of marvelous geological forms and glaciers.
The cache is hidden in the ruins that are going to show you how hard life in Iceland once used to be.

Every there and now you'll be able to see Icelandic sheep that are wandering around with their cute lambs. Although they have big horns, they're completely timid and harmless. Even the rams (which you aren't going to see a lot). But maybe if you're quiet and lucky, you will spot a reindeer.

I didn't have a pen, so bring your own :)
