Rendezvous Creek Airport? Mystery Cache

Did you know that Rendezvous Creek used to have an airstrip? Today, I was wandering around this area and thinking of our farming history.

I was imagining that having a light aircraft would have made it much easier for them to get supplies in and out before the roads in the area were developed. Imagine if Canberra had been developed a little further south? Maybe this remote airstrip would have ended up being developed into a proper airport with multiple runways criss-crossing this wide, flat valley.

Anyway, that was what I was imaging, getting in my light aircraft, taking off from runway 1 and flying exactly 33,500 metres and depositing this cache.
