On August 30, 2001, Geocaching.com Founder Jeremy Irish activited the world's first trackable, TB1, along with six other Deadly Duck trackables. This summer marks their 15th anniversary.
To celebrate, geocaching.com is hosting a worldwide trackable race featuring the Deadly Ducks reincarnated.
Molly the Geocaching Dog is always looking for a reason to have an event for cachers, so it's time to celebrate the 15th anniversary of trackables!
Trackables will get the royal treatment at this event, so bring yours with you!
Molly loves her feathered friends, especially those that “QUACK!” Need to get your ducks racing for the HQ Deadly Duck Race? This will be the place!
Bring your duck trackables, “Discover” them or exchange them with another cacher in attendance! Visit Molly’s duck pond, a place for ducks and other trackables waiting to be rescued!
Want to support your inner Ducky? Now’s your chance!
We want to have a group picture, with everyone in yellow! Wear your yellow shirt or hat. Perhaps you have some “Ducky” apparel? Wear it!
Other highlights!
-
Molly’s pawsome event will start at 7:00 pm and will end at 8:00 pm. Molly loves PIZZA and will have some at the event for all her cacher friends!
-
Bring your ducks and/or other trackables. The more the merrier!
-
Don’t have a trackable? That’s okay! There will be plenty of fun at the event visiting with other cachers and learning more about geocaching, as well as seeing all sorts of fun trackables! Molly can't wait to see everyone!
-
Molly’s rescue duck pond will be under the shade so that no duck or other trackables will get hot while hoping to be discovered by other cachers!
-
At 7:30, there will be a group photo for all the trackables in attendance and at 7:40, there will be a group photo taken!
-
A drawing for some pawsome prizes will be held at 7:50 pm.
All kids welcome! Please let Molly know in the event log if you have any children 14 and under that will be attending the event. She will be sure to have something special just for them!
