Geocache Description:

Being involved with geocaching for two years now, you develop an eye for things that look out of the ordinary.  While driving in this area recently, I noticed something that caught my eye that didn’t look right.  I decided to put a cache container here to see if you can determine what doesn’t look right and also give you a small history lesson at the same time.

In 1860, residents of Dade County in NW Georgia voted to secede from the state of Georgia and from the United States, but no government outside the county ever recognized this gesture as legal. In 1945, the county symbolically "rejoined" Georgia and the United States. Shortly after the Georgia State Quarter was released in 1999 by the US Mint, Dade County gained attention because of an apparent mistake in the design.

Now that you are here, can you see what is missing?

There is a small rock driveway where it is safe to pull off to the side of the road and search.

Congrats to GingerMerican for the FTF!!
