The Cheltenham Square Mall has seen much better days but at the time of writing is about to undergo a massive overhaul under a new owner to hopefully pump some new life into the shopping destination. Even with the previous mall slowly shutting down and getting ready for the construction there are still a few hot points of interest that tend to lead me and my significant other on errands here a few times a month.
We usually take a “divide and conquer approach” with each one of us taking a part of the shopping list and going to one of the trio of big anchor stores to complete our mission. I tend to be done first and end up sitting in the car wishing there was a cache nearby to busy myself, but alas there's nothin'. In hopes that no one should suffer that same mild-fate I've hidden a small multicache around the shopping center culminating in full sized final stage.
I usually use somewhere between all and some of my wits to figure out a hiding spot, this time I’ve decided to use almost none. You know those cache’s you roll your eyes at when you get close to them? The ones that serve to only make a horrible metal screeching sound when you remove the cache from its hiding spot before signing the log and earning another smiley? That’s what all the stages of this cache represent.
Every one of the hides is one you’ve seen a thousand times before but I’ve chained them together to keep you busy on a lunch break or while waiting for someone to wrap up their shopping trip. Stealth is required as these parking lots are busy and with the forth coming construction bound to have extra security roving (don’t worry, none of the hides are near any of the construction areas).
