After visiting the dam nearby, we went for a further drive, deeper into the snow covered forest, it was so pretty and quiet, nobody had been in here at all since the snow had dumped. The cache is secreted under a bunch of timber, no need to move that, grab it from the low side.
You can, in most conditions, drive any vehicle to this cache, either from the nearby cache, or, from the main dirt road, if it has been raining, a 4WD might be best to be sure. An easy hide awaits.
Before you rush out onto stage 2 of The Road Less Travelled, PLEASE note the following:
- All roads have been picked to be 2wd suitable, IN THE RIGHT CONDITIONS.
- Roads/Forests can be closed due to a variety of reasons. If the road/forest is closed, do not drive on/enter it.
This is NOT a power trail; this is a touring trail designed to be done at a more relaxed pace over a few days. No need to rush, there are plenty of accommodation options along the way for all budgets from free camping and caravan parks to B&B, hotel or motel in some towns or nearby.
