For some Oregon history a trip to the Butteville General Store is a must. The store is an Oregon State Heritage Site and is operated by the Friends of Historic Champoeg, is more than 149 years old and the longest continually active store in Oregon. It is at the end of the Champoeg bike trail, and is one of the only old buildings left of Butteville. Over the years the store has transformed into a wonderful place to stop to learn about the history of this once very busy town.
It's not so much where this cache is but how do I get to it. Look where baby birds might live and there you will find a locked door. The key to this cache is finding the key and the key is in the hole. Once you get and use the key you will see a door bell button. Push it and listen to get the cache. Good luck and happy caching.
