Geocache Description:

A local legend; An unsolved Mystery.

Recently, while doing some research on the history of Bouctouche, I came across a lesser known local legend, of the outlaw George Miller, aka Geo “The Kid”.

While this legend is widely disputed by Historians, there are still several locals who swear these events happened exactly as described below:

It was the early 1900's, and a group of Immigrants from Prince Edward Island were making their way by Canoe, down the Bouctouche River, en route for the first ever Pollet River run in Elgin NB.  They were carrying with them a shipment of diamonds, saphires, emeralds and cash, to cover their entry fees into the race.

The story goes that at some point in the journey, they were ambushed by a young outlaw by the name of George Miller, notoriously known by locals as Geo “The Kid”.  Geo had a reputation of violence and mischief.

A massive water fight ensued, using the most sophisticated means of aqua propulsion available at the time.  Some historians estimate over 8 gallons of water was exchanged that day.

When the sun reached its zenith, and the mists had evaporated, Geo “The Kid” was gone, along with the cash and jewels.

Local authorities were notified, and Geo was spotted much later, near the site currently known as Camp Wildwood.  He was shot by the sheriff when he refused to surrender...the cash and jewels no longer on his person...

With his dying breathe, he reportedly muttered the follow stream of numbers:
462722206443168

To this day, nobody has been able to decipher the numbers, although many cryptologists have tried.  Some believe they may have been the combination to a safe, while others accredit them to the name of his trusty steed.

It is my personal theory that these numbers could be coordinates to where Geo hid the stolen loot, but I am not cut out for Treasure Hunting.  Instead, I have decided to publish these numbers as coordinates, in the hopes that somebody may finally reveal the truth behind this legend.

Good Luck, and God Speed!
