"M.K.T." Depot, Vici

This old depot is the old "M.K.T" railroad depot built on this exact spot. It is the only "M.T.K." depot built on this line from Altus, Oklahoma to Boise City, Oklahoma that has not been torn down or moved. Like I said, it stands where it was built. The "M.K.T." railroad was first called the "Missouri, Kansas, Texas" railroad. It was then shortened to just the "M.K.T." railroad, which later, was just called "the Katy". The "Katy" railroad was established in 1865 and lasted until 1988. This line, from Altus to Boise City, was abanded around 1970. Spend some time just looking around and take a few picture.
