Welcome to the Pembina Walsh Historic Trail (PWHT). Earn and log a commemorative coin after finding five caches in each county! Fill out the PWHT Passport at https://rendezvousregion.com/download/passport.pdf and submit it to receive your coin(s)! Our caches are located at the most interesting historical sites in Pembina and Walsh County in northeast North Dakota. This trail includes a number of gadget caches designed by Trycacheus.
To locate this cache, look for a bottle cap container under some camouflage. T=Terrain - 1.5; D=Difficulty - 3; S=Size - Micro; Attributes: Winter Friendly. Giving this historic theatre a fresh breath of life, a community fundraising campaign has raised the funds needed to give the Strand Theatre in Grafton a renewed yet historically accurate interior, front entrance, and new digital technology that will assure its future as a movie theatre well into the future. This three-story Art Moderne building was constructed between the years of 1946-1947. The Strand Theatre retains an excellent external physical integrity of design, materials, and workmanship. The interior also retains many of its original Art Moderne details, including the balcony stairwells, the lobby and auditorium wall cladding, and the auditorium glass block decorative lighting. The Theatre was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.
