Lost in Cache Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Xflyboy!: Well after searching around the galaxies for a while, I was brought back to this sector. As I returned I noticed the signal I detected last time was no longer broadcasting. After some brief scanning I was saddened to find that the device was destroyed and non repairable. Was this because of my previous activities? Was it caused by some random act not affiliated with my searches, I don't know.
I only know what my current assignment is, and that will be fulfilled in a timely manner.

Geocache Description:

This is brings people to where I grew up running around and biking as a kid.

While out patrolling  this sector my sentry droid statred picking a strange signal.  The signal started out strong and got weaker as we ventured out to the far southern end of the sector. My droid was able to save the signal it received, but was unable to translate it.

Here is the message it received:(First transmission in gallery)

We were not able to track down the source of the signal that day, but we eventually triangulated a basic area to search once our mission requirements are done.

After we returned to our quarters we made use of the protocol droids that are assigned to us and was able to find the language that the message was transmitted in.  It appears to be an old extinct language was never spoken, only written. Apparently our search for the original language has come to the attention of some nefarious types, luckily our search could not be narrowed to a specific person.  We will have to halt our search at this time.

This appears to be a very important mission that has been sidetracked, so we are asking for your help. If you are brave and adventerous maybe you would be willing to take this on.
It appears that the droid in question tried to make use of an antique and abandoned communication facility it found. A few days later we received This secondary transmission:(Second transmission in gallery)

We feel we may have drawn too much attention and are not searching anymore.  But please feel free to search if you are daring.

Congrats to Mr.B for FTF!!!!(Live long and cache on)
