Otok Sv.Marko je najsjeverniji jadranski otok. Prvi podaci o "Škoju" javljaju se relativno kasno u usporedbi s bogatstvom materijalnih ostataka koji nam govore o njegovoj dugoj povjesnosti. U literarnim vrelima pojavljuje se pod imenom Almis, latinskom izrazu za rodan (plodan). Na samom hrptu dominiraju impresivni ostaci bizantskog kastruma - elipsoide moćne utvrde jedva prepoznatljive u kamenjaru od koje je i sazdana.
Geofizički i strateški gledano otočić Sv.Marko portal je otoka Krka sa sjeverozapada i nadzorna točka plovidbe na razmeđu Riječkog zaljeva i Tihog kanala. Na škoju se spominju i dvije crkve: sv.Ivana i sv.Martina sa pripadajućim terenima, sve to u vlasništvu benediktinske opatije sv.Nikole kod Omišlja. Kasnija vrela pobliže govore o titularu jedne od crkava. Ona je posvećena Ivanu Zlatoustom, bizantskom svecu. Na škoju je ubicirana ova najstarija crkva nad ostacima bizantske cisterne, na istočnoj padini uz utvrdu.
Cache je skriven ispod vrha Glava (104 mnv) i sa njega se pruža najnevjerovatniji pogled na Krčki most.

Sveti Marko is the northernmost island on the Adriatic sea. First data on "Škoj" (The island) appeared relatively late, compared to the richness of remained materials which tells us about its long history. In literar sources it appears under the name of Almis, the Latin phrase for fertice (productive). Today at the ridge, the impressive remains of the Byzantium castrum is dominating - an ellipsoidal fortress, barely recognizable in the rocky ground from which it has been built.
Geophysically and strategically speaking, the islet of St.Marcus was a doorway for the island of Krk from the north-west and an observation point for navigation at the crossroads between the Bay of Rijeka and Tihi channel. There are references to two churces on the islet: the church of St.John and St.Martin with accompanying land, all owned by the St.Nicholas Benedictines abbey close to Omišalj. Later sources speak about the titular of one of the churches in detail. It was dedicated to Ivan Chrysostom, a Byzantine saint, that was located on the cliff above the remains of a Byzantine cistern on the eastern slope by the fortress.
The cache is located below the peak Glava (104 asl) and from here you can enjoy the most incredible view to the bridge of Krk.
