These geocaches are not placed at an exotic or exciting location. This series is meant to be caches found where the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles might be found hanging out if they were residents of the Maple City. The caches are easy to locate, but the containers themselves are interesting.
In the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle series, Splinter finds four turtles that have been dropped by a young boy. Splinter later returns to find the turtles crawling in a strange ooze, and their mutations into humanoid creatures begin.
This cache is located along the local bike trail, beside a pool of water that looks like it could be the toxic ooze that caused the turtles mutations. We have seen frogs, turtles and snakes at this location. If the turtles resided in the Maple City, this pool of water could be what caused their mutations.
Cache can be found by walking/biking from the Train Station in Meyersdale, parking at the Salisbury Viaduct and walking/biking, or parking at the Johnny Popper Road intersection of the bike trail and walking/biking.
