You are looking for a large camouflaged container hung on a tree branch approximaly 24 meters off the trail on the South side. Do not cross the fence line on your right heading west (or north side) . I have hung this container on a tree at eye level so that it can be found in winter months by cross country skiers. You may park at the golf course parking lot and hike in approximately half km. Or you can drive down the gravel road, past the golf course, to where it comes to a fork. There is room there to park your vehicle off the gravel road. Do not leave your vehicle on the gravel road as it is used frequently by the village maintence crews. If you park at the trail head you have appromiately 300 meters to walk. If you have a high clearance vehicle you may drive down this trail to within 25 meters of the cache. However you cannot turn around. You would then have to drive another 400 meters, and turn around in a community pasture area at the exit gate, and then return the same way. You vehicle will be rubbing against bushes so if you value your paint job my suggest is to hike in. Depending on rains you could also very well be stuck. This trail is for high clearance vehicles only and even that is a risk.
This trail is well worth the walk. This is a very heavily forested area. I had no issues finding the cache using my garmin 60CSx. Cell phones may or may not work. In any case once you get to within 25 meters just hike into the treed area. There really is not that much bushwacking to do as I picked an area that is more accessible than many of the other nearby locations. You might see mule deer in this area. Be sure to have a camera ready.
