A plane flying too low to the ground has crashed into a large mountain of rocks in the bush surrounding Georges River in Long Point. The plane, carrying only the pilot, exploded upon impact, sending shrapnel flying in all directions. Most of the pilot and shrapnel has been cleared from the area but officials believe that it is likely that remnants of the crash still remain preserved within the mountain rocks. Who better to seek and find this shrapnel, than the humble Geocacher.
Your journey to the crash site will vary depending on the route you take. For those who want to feel like Indiana Jones, walk to the bottom of the track then make your way up the rocks for a terrain 4 ascent. Slightly easier (T 3-3.5) access can be gained from the side, halfway down the track. You'll need to bring a pen as one has not been included with the cache.
Please make sure that you carefully re-hide any remnants that you find to keep them preserved.
Happy hunting!
