You will need to bring your own lockpicking tools to get to the log. Raking, picking, bumping, whatever non-destructive method you want to use to open it is acceptable. Please don't damage the lock, or the container. I'd love to see a pic of an open lock with your log entry! I will occasionally check the log in the cache to make sure cachers actually got inside and then update the log here as necessary. Finding the cache is only the first step!
This lock is a brass Brinks 40mm. It has 4 security pins and is in general a straight forward one to pick. The cache is in a moderately busy muggle area, so be stealthy and make sure to cover it when you replace it. Good Luck!

If you are concerned about laws regarding lockpicking, the tools are legal to have in Washington and are treated like bolt cutters, don't be trespassing at night and you likely won't have any problems.
