Bowness Park has been a Calgary favorite for generations. The mature trees and watercourses of the Bow River Valley transport you out of the "city" and into another world. With recent renovations wrapping up (2016) the park is better than ever. The park was completely flooded in June 2013, but looking at it today, you would never know. The playgorunds, pathways, facilities and cafe are bright, new, and full of life.
This geocache takes you into one of our favorite areas of Bowness Park. We love this area and nothing caps off an evening better than enjoying an icecream, a walk, and a geocache! Enjoy the bridges. The Bow River offers a perfect backdrop to this cache. The water is always a buzz of activity year round with ducks, geese, paddle boats, canoes, and more!.
Look for a clear plastic sandwich container (tupperware) with a dark red lid. This is an easy, family friendly cache with lots of toys for kids to enjoy. Sit back on the bench and enjoy watching the kids find this cache!
