Redmond Rain fills ponds! The Monticello Creek Stormwater Treatment Wetland (STW) treats and slows water flowing from NE 116th Street and the roundabout.
Park on a nearby street and then enjoy a short walk to grab this find.

Plants Grow
The stormwater treatment wetland uses nature's talents to remove pollutants from stormwater. As the plants suck up any oils and greases washing off the road, dissolve metals and sediments are left in the pond so that the water leaving the pond on its way to Monticello Creek is clean enough for the fish! The pond makes for a nice bit of habitat for amphibians, water fowl, and deer.
