The entry level position in a corporation for someone in your current position is the bottom of the ladder. Most people aren't satisfied here as there is no smiley. In order to climb the corporate ladder they must take a leap of faith first to reach the first rung.
To reach the next few rungs will take strength and determination. Once you have your feet planted firmly in the corporation however you realize that each step is not only easier but a greater height to fall from. Although life seems easier and your getting closer to your goal, a fall back into the mailroom would be increasingly more painful so each step must be made with more and more precision. Once you make it to the top you'll be the one signing your name on pay cheques and that's a huge smiley for you!
