I was on my way to visit GC2EW5F and my dog Coco was keeping me company. She was happily walking along next to me but just kept running off the trail to try and jump in the water. I'd have to walk over to the edge and call her back! We got to this spot in the trail and she just couldn't control herself, she just kept jumping in the water. I threatened her with her leash and she looks right at me, drops her tennis ball in the water, looks back at me again as if to say "Sorry, I can't help myself!" and then jumps back in the water. Silly dog!
If you park at the dirt lot at the bridge you will need to pay as this is Eau Claire County Parks property. If you are spending time at the Coon Forks campground it is an easy walk over to the trailhead.
