The British Fleet: A Goonie Adventure Traditional Cache

This cache is part of a series located at the Red Wing Recreational Area with permission of the land owner.  All caches in this series are along marked and unmarked trails.  If you find the want to bushwack any distance, you're going about it the wrong way.  No need to know the movie "The Goonies" to find these caches, but it could make for more fun.  Remember to CITO where needed so we can all enjoy this beautiful property.

The story began in the early 1600's when the pirate, One Eyed Willie, plundered the seas.  Eventually the British fleet caught up with him and, during the ensuing battle, sealed him, his ship, and his crew in a cave along the coast.  This cache is dedicated to the brave young men who fought for justice against the lawless pirates of the sea.  This cache is located close to, but not down by the stream.  At times, this area is prone to flooding, so keep kids close if the water is high on it's banks.
