Geocache Description:

Historical site in Woodford County, Illinois that we stumbled accross while geocaching in the area and thought it deserved a geocache.


GZ brings you to the site of the Shiloh United Brethern Church which was built in 1875 at a cost of $1920.00.  Trustees at that time was Abraham Reust, Henry Hall and Thomas Morris. It became the Shiloh Methodist Church in 1899. A new church was built and deicated in Janruary 2, 1910 at a cost of $5610.00, and trustees at that time was George Bell, John Krug, Gilbert Morris, and Sam Schertz. The congregation merged with the Elpaso Methodist Church in1948, and the building was sold and torn down in 1951.
