There haven't been that many summer events in the area this year so far so I thought it would be an idea before people head off to the various summer mega events to meet up to chat about any last minute plans. It will also be an opportunity for new cachers to the area to meet the local caching community and for anyone to exchange trackables that want to journey far and wide. Many of us will be able to take any trackables to the megas to help them on an onward trip overseas.
The event will take place in the Holburn Bar from 7pm till around 9pm or later if people want to hang out. There's a wide selection of food available at the venue, you can see the menu here. I expect quite a few of us will be eating as well as having a drink so bring your appetite.
I've noticed quite an upsurge in new cachers to the area so it would be great if you could come along and meet the locals, we are a very friendly bunch and will be happy to chat with anyone new please don't be shy. I know when I started out last year the idea of meeting up was a bit intimidating. However I'm so very glad I did go to an event, as I've met so many lovely people as a result and it really gave me a boost to keep on caching.
Note please come along whether you are going to the Mega's or not. This event is in no way limited to just those who will be in Wales next month.
Oh and its also National Whisky day so...
