August of 2015, we had an impromptu BBQ at my VW Bus. Folks brought all kinds of goodies and we had a heck of a nice spread for geocachers to enjoy while they took a rest.
"Lets do it again!" That's what I kept hearing last year from visitors throughout the day.

Where? Oregon Road Parking for The Abandoned Turnpike
Why? This location is a great resting point between the two tunnels and because everyone loves a BBQ!
I will provide the grill(small grill) and 20 burgers/buns. If you plan to eat while you attend, food/drink contributions are greatly appreciated! Please list what you would like to donate to the potluck.
Oregon Road Parking is great location for walking or biking the pike. It's located roughly center of the 13 mile stretch of deserted highway. It is NOT a large parking lot. PLEASE park with consideration of the small space that we will be using.
We will have a few door prizes for fun. We'll make it spur of the moment drawings like who has such and such with them. Or maybe a random question about the Abandoned Turnpike.
