An dieser Stelle seht ihr die größte Anlage ihrer Art in Magdeburg - Photovoltaik-Freiflächenanlage.
Diese erzeugt Strom für ca. 5300 Magdeburger (bei statistischen 1586 kWh/a/Kopf), hat eine Leistung von 8,5MW und ist somit Magdeburgs drittgrößter Stromproduzent (06/2016). Unter ihr befinden sich alle möglichen Reste Magdeburgs aus der Nachkriegszeit, welche die Zentraldeponie Cracauer Anger bilden. Im Zuge der BuGa wurde die Deopie verschlossen und es entstand die markante Magdeburger Erhebung. Bis vor einigen Jahren wurde hier auch Deponiegas zur Versorgung des Nauticas (jetzt wieder Nemo) und des Elbauenparkes genutzt.
Photovoltaik errreicht in Sachsen-Anhalt derzeit einen Anteil von 7,1% Bruttostromerzeugung und 14,6% EE-Anteil.
