Geocache Description:

Fannie Lou Hamer became a civil rights activist in the 60s when she was fired for trying to register to vote. She was an outspoken advocate for racial equality and hosted Freedom Summer workers in her home. This site marks her final resting place and a gathering pavilion that is used by the community.

Congratulations wmyers6 for First To Find!

This geocache is a micro container that may contain small objects. Although the park is occasionally locked after dark, this cache can be accessed any time of day. The cache marks the gravesite of a civil rights worker who fought poverty, injustice, and racism. It is located in a high poverty area of the rural Mississippi Delta that is not frequently visited by outsiders. You may feel uncomfortable, but the area is safe. Please be respectful of the neighbors who may state or try to figure out what you are doing. Just like Hamer worked to promote racial harmony, your presence at this cache can also promote racial harmony. Smile, wave, and be discrete about the cache, which probably does have a high risk of being looted by muggles. The cache is unintentionally hard to find, so there's a hint if you want it.

**UPDATE: I know from the logs that the hint is no longer true or relevant! Thanks to whoever adopted the cache unofficially and message me if you want to adopt it to be its true owner! I moved away from the area and can't maintain it anymore.
