Geocache Description:

** A cache placed beside the New Junction Canal, on a section of the Trans-Pennine Trail. **

'Hobbledehoy' : English, 16th century. (Noun) A clumsy or awkward adolescent boy. (Adjective) Clumsy or Awkward. Often written as 'Hobbletyhoy', particularly in Scotland.

There were few caches in the area at the time of listing (although our subsequent efforts have changed the situation) and considering the evocative name for this small woodland, we thought that it deserved one nearby to search for.

Situated beside a solid, flat path, the location is easily accessible, however, don't let your hobbledehoy hands drop the container into the canal!

Please bring a means of signing the log, as the container doesn't have room for a pencil. Roll the log into the stopper to allow reassembly and retain it, this will also ease extraction by the next cacher.
