Time : 13h30 to 14h00

Way back in the 1970s and the 1980s, long before Geocaching became the most popular game in town, there were 10-pin bowl halls in every City and dorpie. Saturday nights or Sunday afternoons were spend down at Oom Hannes se bane. You would trap your bycicle down there, and meet up with your school buddies. Two bucks for a game, 20 cents for an ice cream, and 50 cents for a can of Coke. Ah, that was the life.

After all these years, do you still have the skill? You were the bees knees on lane 8 back then. Your mates had nothing on you. You could spin that ball like a pro. Here is your chance to show the dudes and dudettes once more who is the boss. Bring your kids with, and show them just how cool you were when you were their age.

This is a gathering of Geocachers at the 10-pin Bowling venue to socialise for 30 minutes. All Geocachers are welcome to attend, and also those who are interested to learn about Geocaching. As is the norm with these events we will chat about all kinds of caching related things, so the "newbies" will have an opportunity to learn from the old hands. There is no charge associated to attending this social gathering.

At 14h00 the event will come to an end. Those of us that want to try their hand at 10-pin bowling are welcome to do so. Those that want to spectate may do so from behind the railings. There is no obligation on any event attendee to partake in the 10-pin bowling games, as this is not part of the Geocaching Event. There are also various other interesting things to do nearby for kids and adults alike.

We booked 4 lanes at 14h00. Cost is R55 per person per game.
There will be a lekker prize for the overall champ as well.
