A sporting cache....

I thought Goorambat needed at least one cache so what better than one celebrating the mighty Bats!

Goorambat is one of those little villages in NE Victoria and the Riverina that you wonder about - who lives here, what do they do? You'd only have to live here 5 minutes and everyone would you know you, your history etc.... but they would also do anything for you..... Some fascinating Goorambat facts - according to Wikipedia Queen Elizabeth stayed here one night in her royal carriage in 1954...... The school operated from 1888 to 2010. You can get a bus from Goorambat to Melbourne... The Football and Netball Club formed in 1933 and have won a very respectable 12 Premierships in various leagues. A look around the well-kept sportsground ( and their headquarters, the Bat Cave) over the hill shows how proud Goorambats are of their sporting heritage...... The cache is a medium Sistema with logbook, pencil and rooms for swaps. Enjoy your visit to the Bats!
