This is a nice little summer CITO to give back to the park's departments of CA.
We have so many beautiful parks in CA and growing up with a great grandfather who was a park ranger taught me to appreciate and give back to keep these (once free) parks open and here for our future generations.
My grandfather Henry W. Saddler has grove named after my grandmother and him (Henry W. and Florance Butts Saddler Grove) for their work and dedication to preserving parks for future generations; so each year I try to give back in honor of them.
*Interesting fact: My great grandfather also hired the first female park ranger in CA. Here name was Harriet "Petey" Weaver...most of you know her as the author of "Frosty" all of the writing for this book were done when she was a park ranger with my great grandfather.
Please join us for the after the CITO Dinner event on this same date.
*Dogs are welcome on leashes at this event. :)
