GuN #01: Partschinser Waalweg Traditional Cache

Der Partschinser Waalweg ist einer der ältesten Waalwege im Burggrafenamt.
Dieser wurde bereits im 15. Jh. von den Stachelburger Grafen erbaut und ist somit ein halbes Jahrtausend alt. Er dient heute noch zur Bewässerung der Partschinser Obstgüter und ist umsäumt von lichten Birkenhainen, und einer reichen Vegetation. Einzigartige Ausblicke und das belebende Plätschern von reinstem Quellwasser machen diese Wanderungen zu einem einzigartigen Erlebnis.
Am östlichen Ende des Waalweges ist ein vorgeschichtlicher Wohnstein und ein prähistorischer Schalenstein (Kupferzeit) zu sehen. Diese „Urwaal-Runde“ ist auch für historisch Interessierte höchst spannend!

Uno dei sentieri più antichi del Burgraviato è il Waalweg di Parcines.
Il Waalweg (sentiero delle rogge) venne costruito nel XV secolo dai conti von Stachelburg e quindi vanta oggi circa mezzo millennio di età. Tuttora viene usato per irrigare i frutteti di Parcines ed è circondato da boschetti di betulle e da una ricca vegetazione. Un panorama meraviglioso e l’ascolto del gorgoglio della pura acqua di fonte rendono questa escursione indimenticabile.
Alla fine del Waalweg di Parcines, in direzione est, si possono osservare una coppella preistorica (età del rame). Questo itinerario delle “rogge storiche“ è molto interessante anche per gli appassionati di storia

This is one of the oldest irrigation channels (Waalweg) of Merano and environs!
It was built in the XV century by the Counts of Stachelburg and is, therefore, more than five hundred years old. The channel is lined by birch-tree groves and rich, varied vegetation and is still used to irrigate the Parcines orchards, meadows and fields. The path gives splendid views out over the surrounding countryside and is the perfect place for an easy stroll to the accompaniment of the tinkling music of pure, clear, fresh water
An ancient “Wohnstein”, a free-standing, curved rock in whose shadow ancient people lived, and a pre-historic “Schalenstein” – a stone with strange round-shaped indentations on it, dating back to the Copper Age, can be seen at the eastern end of the Waal path.
This particular walk is especially interesting for those interested in local history.
