Geocache Description:


Panther Point is one of four Iroquois Park overlooks accessible by the hill top loop road. In by gone days it provided a nice view out to the west. Now with all the tree growth you can only get a small view during the winter months.
Since I've not been able to locate any documentation to this point explaining how Panther Point got its name I can only speculate. Being that Mountain Lion were also referred to as panthers by early settlers, most likely one was spotted here long before this land became known as Iroquois Park.
You are looking for a small cammo RX bottle hidden just above Panther Point and near the loop road. The road to top of the park is open to motorist from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from April through October. If you visit the park outside these hours you will need to either climb the hill on foot or by bike to access this cache.
