THE CACHE IS AT THE BASE OF THE POLE WITH THE TSUNAMI WARNING SIREN AT THE TOP. DO NOT PARK IN DRIVEWAYS OR WANDER AROUND ON PEOPLE'S PROPERTY! THE CACHE IS ON THE PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY, NOT IN SOMEONE'S YARD OR DRIVEWAY.
Living near the beach has its benefits, but it also comes with the hazard of a threat of tsunami. The Long Beach peninsula is little more than a sand spit just a few feet above sea level. As part of disaster preparedness, each month a warning siren is tested which is audible along the entire length of the peninsula, and you'll often see tsunami warning towers like the one just above your head as you search for this cache.
