Geocache Description:

No trip to Charters Towers is complete without visiting the Towers Hill to the lookout, 125m above the town and 420m asl. With views of the city, gold mining, world war and other interesting historical facets displayed. The information boards at the lookout detail the towns history from the discovery of gold  in 1871.

The archiving of GC1EY185 'The World', enabled us to place a larger cache a short walk down a sealed road from the carpark near the lookout, obscured by some rocks. It is still quite a popular little road for muggles.

Name was chosen by Geoboy from a popular song. At the time of placing the plastic screw top container included an unactivated CITO trackable (FTF), a bug book, toy, grill'd charity token, geocaching sticker log and pencil.

First to find was an intrepid Phoenix Ferals, it may be hot when you find this cache but at FTF it was wet cold and one of the most miserable days in recent memory.
