Please replace the geocache exactly how you found it and be gentle! Do not try to remove the magnets from within the tree.
This geocache is hidden next to a World War I Memorial at the Oak Grove Cemetery. In the center, there is a statue of a soldier created by Emilius R Ciampa with the date of December 1941. In the center of the pedestal, there is a dedication, "To the men of Medford, who made the supreme sacrifice." Below it are the names of men from Medford who served and died in the war. To the right of the dedication, there is the seal of the state of Massachusetts. It says, "Ense petit placidam sub libertate quietem" which means, "by the sword, we seek peace, but peace only under liberty." High up on the pedestal there are four reliefs of war scenes. Eagles flank the base. At the entrance to the memorial are graves of veterans.
