I will visit my relatives living in North Wales this August and stay for a few days in Cricchieth.
Here I stayed for my first time in life at the sea as a child and we had great times here. My brother an I liked to walk form Criccieth to the Black Rock. At low tide I was for us great fun to walk barefoot on the sand at the borderline of land and water. Every times when I am visiting my relatives in North Wales I will take the opportunity to do this walk. I have planned to do this walk on my stay this time too.
I would like to invite geocachers from the region to walk with me along the coast line to Black Rock. I will start my walk at 1400 an will hold a short event to come together form 1330 to
1400 at the shelter on the east end of the esplanades before starting the walk.
The Tides will be good for this walk on this afternoon and passing black rock on the sea side should be possible to get over to the Black Rock Sands Beach. The walk to the Black Rock is about 1.2 miles. The beginning of the walk goes through some stones and the top end of the beach is stony therefore wearing waterproof sandals or old sports shoes that can get wet will be a good idea.
The wading attribute is only for the walk after the event the shelter should be wheelchair accessible
