Geocache Description:

Part of the attraction of the Battle Ground and North County areas are the beautiful parks and trails to enjoy.  This multicache will bring you to three of them, with the final at the third.  There will be a little bit of a walk to get the final cache location.

N 45 48.113 W 122 29.228

We are fortunate to have a crown jewel state park just outside of our city limits.  Battle Ground Lake has 280 acres of beautiful land surrounding a lake of volcanic origin.  There are 5 miles of horse trails and some equestrian camping available.  The County has added a Chelatchie Prairie Railroad Trail that connects Battle Ground Lake trails to a planned rail to trail project.  From the sign at the waypoint location, you will need the following information:

How many miles is the trail length?  Let the first number = A

Let the number of white and yellow arrow shapes pointing to “You Are Here” = B

Let the number of boats on the map = C (don’t count the index)

Let the speed limit sign at the actual park entrance = D

A Discover Pass is required for day use and parking.

N 45 48.875 W 122 32.744

Lewisville Regional Park is the oldest park in Clark County and often considered the County’s flagship park.  This 154 acre park includes 2.8 miles of meandering trails, a boat launch, and fields for many different activities such as baseball, horseshoe, tennis, basketball, and just having fun.  The information you need for the multicache will be located around the entrance and a short drive into the park.

Let the number of places listed on the reservation schedule = E

Let the number of large logs on the entrance sign (total) = F

Let the number of trees on the entrance sign = G (count both sides!)

Let the number of chimneys on the Central shelter = H

N 45 48.(A-C)CG W 122 35.BGH  Checksum of unknown coordinates = 25

You could take the river from Lewisville to Daybreak Park, but this could take some time and it really isn’t recommended during the high winter season (unless you have a good boat) or during the low summer season (unless you don’t mind walking).  The Lewisville-Daybreak float is pretty popular when it is warm enough and the water is still high enough.

Per the sign, how many species are predators and scavengers of salmon?  Let the last number minus the first number = I

After a short walk, you can find the final at N 45 48.I(E-D-C)(G-H) W 122 34.FI(B+C).  Checksum of unknown coordinates = 31. Look for the path towards the river.
