Leave the car near the Dufftown Distillery and follow the sign to the food path towards Giant Chair. You will cross the Dullan and turn right. It's a lovely walk, your kids will have a lot of fun when they reach this site. There are several benches on the way to give you the chance to relax.
When I placed the cache here in Summer 2016, there has just been the memorial - to remember and place to reflect what's important in life.
The original cache I have placed here has been stolen many times. So today, Jan 31,2020 I have placed it in one of the Thujas left side of the memorial about 1,7 m high! Please be very respectful at the side! BE AWARE OF MUGGLES. Don't go for it when being watched - when you can't sign it, send a picture of the area.
In the meantime something magical happened here - fairies made their own choices and decided to settle here near the memorial. Bring your wee ones, they will love it. Please be respectful to the fairies and their homes. Coming back to the site for cache maintenance March 2019, I saw there is a small fence aroud the area. You may step over it - it is probably to protect the fairies from misbehaving dogs? The fairies village moved a bit further, they have their own gate now and a brand new large houses. The fairies village is still "under construction" and the gate is locked. However I am sure it will be open soon. Why don't you upload a picture from your favourite Fairy House? Ask your kids to watch their steps - being at the site today I saw still some barbed wire and rusty wire on the ground - ask them to stay on the wee paths as best as possible.
Near this site you have several viewpoints worth a visit very close,
one is The Giant's Gradle at N 57 25.798 W 003 07.872 - my favourite spot!
The other viewpoint is at N 57 25.810 W 003 07.816.
