Washington Grays Traditional Cache

This is the tenth in a series of caches placed to highlight some great marches in music. This part of  the series is along the Stavich Bike Trail, and can be reached with a short hike from either parking spot. This medium sized cache is placed in the usual way. It's very important to replace this cache as found! This cache placed with permission from the Lawrence County Department of Planning and Community Development. Congrats to Dr. Cachenstein for FTF.

Years ago, before radio, TV, and the Internet, entertainment was hard to come by. Marches were the pop music of their day. “Washington Greys” was written by Claudio S. Grafulla. The title refers to the gray uniforms worn by the 8th Regiment, New York State Militia based at the Kingsbridge Armory in the Bronx. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU TRAVEL NEAR THE ACTIVE RAILROAD TRACKS OR RAILROAD TRACK BEDS.
