Geocache Description:

Initially Rushen Abbey started off as an offshoot of the Savignian house of Furness. Like others of this order it came under Cistercian rule in 1147. The completed Abbey church was dedicated to St Mary in 1257. The Chronicles of Mann were written at the Abbey, as were many other important documents relating to the Island. The Abbey was significant in this respect, as it would have been the centre of knowledge and literacy on the Island. The abbey was dissolved by Henry VIII in the 16th century.

Since then it has been many things from a local source of building materials to a Victorian afternoon dancing venue complete with strawberry teas. It is now a heritage centre (part of the 'Story of Mann') with a building containing artefacts and telling the history of Rushen Abbey and its role in the surrounding area. The remains of the original Abbey have been restored and walkways constructed to allow visitors to get a closer look.

At the above co-ordinates you need to find the following information:

In what decade was Rushen Abbey used as a nightclub? (ABCD)

Abbot Ivo gifted the Abbey to King Olaf I in? (EFGH)

The final co-ordinates are at:
