Geocache Description:

Constables were the first law enforcement in North America in the mid-seventeenth century. The Texas Constable is a member of an Elite corps of Cowboy-Lawmen organized in 1823 by Stephen F. Austin, replacing the Spanish style military policing organization, thereby pre-dating even the Texas Rangers. Constables assumed the primary responsibility for local law enforcement, thus becoming the “People’s Police.”

This was my very first hide. This is a reclaiming of an older cache that has been here since 2009. I have replaced the "hiding device" and it's log. This is a great park and grab.  There are non-stop muggles around this location Monday thru Friday from 8 to 5. It is great for evenings and weekends. However, if you go during those times, the people working inside the building are aware of the cache and enjoy watching your attempts to be discreet. Congrats to 2Nutz for being the first out of 226 finds on this cache's first page (now archived) on 09/09/2009 and the First To Find it again on this new page!!!!!
