Geocache Description:

This cache is one of a number of music instrument related caches placed on the southern section of the R540 road in Gauteng province, South Africa. Enjoy the outing in the country!

The clarinet is a woodwind instrument. It has a single-reed mouth piece, a straight cylindrical tube with an almost cylindrical bore, and flared bell. Johan Christoph Denner is believed to have invented the clarinet in Germany around the year 1700. The popular Brazilian music styles of choro and samba use the clarinet.

Prominent contemporary players include Paulo Moura and Paquito D’Rivera.
