The cache coordinates take you to a vacant building that was supposed to be a showcase for energy efficient design when it was built about 10 years ago. Among the alternative energy strategies included in the design, a geothermal heating system utilizes the man-made pond infron of the building as a heat-sink. The system bleeds heat from the air conditioners in the summer into the pond, and, extracts heat from the pond in winter to heat the building resulting in a much reduced carbon footprint.
It's a shame the building never fulfilled its role as a showcase for alternative energy strategies and has been vacant for a long time.
