Geocache Description:

This cache is one of a number of music instrument related caches placed on the southern section of the R540 road in Gauteng province, South Africa. This one is close to the end of the R540.

The guitar is a popular musical instrument with anywhere from four to eighteen strings, usually having six. The sound is projected either acoustically or through electric amplification. It is typically played by strumming or plucking the strings with the right hand while fretting the strings with the fingers of the left hand. It is traditionally constructed from wood and strung with either gut, nylon or steel strings.

Well known South African guitarists are Johnny Clegg and Karen Zoid.
