Diga di Isola
La diga a cupola di Isola (conosciuta anche come diga di Isolato) è stata costruita nel 1953 ed è alta 35m. Il bacino formato ha una capacità di circa 2 milioni di mc.
L'acqua proviene dal bacino di Montespluga e viene immessa nel lago dopo essere stata sfruttata dalla centrale di Isola. Da questa diga, tramite una condotta, viene portata alla centrale di Prestone da dove poi si riversa nel medesimo bacino. La condotta raccoglie anche l'acqua del torrente Scalcoggia prendendola direttamente dalla cascata di Pianazzo attraverso una vasca posta ai piedi di questa.

La cache è nascosta lungo la Via Spluga che qui passa proprio attraverso gli edifici della diga. Data la difficile ricezione del GPS a causa delle strette e ripide pareti si consiglia di usare la foto spoiler.
Nota del 01.08.2016 - La cache è sparita prima ancora di essere stata trovata per la prima volta. Sono stato contattato da loslachen.ch il quale si è gentilmente offerto di posizionare un nuovo contenitore.

The Isola dam (also known as Isolato dam) was built in 1953 and is 35m high. Its lake has a capacity of about 2 million cubic meters.
The water comes from the Montespluga dam and goes into the lake after being used by the power plant of Isola. From this dam, through a pipeline, it is brought to the power plant of Prestone and in its lake. The pipeline also collects the water of the creek Scalcoggia taking it directly from the Pianazzo waterfall.

The cache is hidden along the Via Spluga that here cross the buildings of the dam. Given the poor reception of GPS due to the narrow valley it is recommended to use the spoiler picture.
August 1, 2016 note - The cache has disappeared even before to have been found for the first time. I've been contacted by loslachen.ch who really kindly has placed a new container.
