St. Olaf's in Cullivoe is a class C listed building. It was built in 1832, and is a harled church with a spectacular view over Bluemull Sound and towards the cliffs of southern Unst. At first glance the building may seem similar to many others in Shetland, but it has an unusual crenellated frontage, which was added in 1886, at the same time as the bell tower. A major refurbishment in 1988 saw a new floor and new seating in the main church, with the original wooden pews being kept in the small gallery. A new timber ceiling was installed in 2004. There are two stained glass memorial windows, one of which names the local men who died in the Great War. There is also a memorial plaque to those lost in the Second World War.
As always, if you wish to swap items, remember to trade equal or better. Please also ensure the container is replaced securely under the hint item, so that it doesn't blow away in bad weather. Thank you!
