Geocache Description:

Welcome to John Bryan State Park. In may 1925, this area became one of the first forest parks. John Bryan State Park and the adjoining Clifton Gorge Nature Preserve has been designated as a National Natural Landmark by he U.S. Department of the Interior. Please be respectful and follow all rules of the park.

The Rim Trail runs the along the top edge of the cliff above the Pittsburgh-Cincinnati Stagecoach Trail.  It can be accessed from the Point Parking Lot, the Wingo Picnic Area, the Swimming Pool Trail and the Orton Picnic Area.  This trail also connects with the trails of the Clifton Gorge State Nature Preserve at the east end of the park.  It is also from this trail that you would gain access to the rock climbing sites.  The trail is moderately difficult, but provides spectacular views into the gorge.

Please be mindful of little ones on this trail as it is very close the the rock climbing area and the cliffs can be dangerous. The cache area is just off the trail up a creek bed and could be wet after or during a rain. The container is small plastic container tucked away just above the creek bed.

Please be respectful of the area and follow all park rules.
